The moment of confrontation is drawing close… Battle for the Wall 2013 is just around the corner!

As we’ve been announcing these days, we’ll count again with the great Nacho Molina, the Spanish “Michael Komarck”, as a guest artist. He’ll be present during the tournament, signing his cards, showing his work and you’ll have him at your disposition for prints or sketches commissions. Some of them will be given out as prizes in the tournament.

We’re already in the final path before the tournament, as there is just a month before the great day comes. During this month we’re going to keep working to offer you a great and truly unforgettable weekend, full of excitement, games, old friends and new recruits, as always with the best of the environments. And this final month is always decisive when it comes to the final result of the tournament. This is the month when we need that final sprint of registrations. Remember that all that is collected with the registration fees of the tournament will be dedicated to prizes. 100% of it, no dime left behind. So it is needless to say that the more you register, and the sooner, the better prizes you will have. You’re already seeing the level that we’re having this year with the prizes… Battle for the Wall 2013 will not disappoint you, be sure of that!

One of the highlight points is the great number of participants that have decided to participate for the first time in Battle for the Wall. Almost half of the 40 registered players (a month prior to the event!) are players that didn’t participate last year and that in this new edition have decided to join this Battle for the Wall. Players from Salamanca, Zaragoza, Cáceres, Alicante or San Sebastián… but also from Italy, United Kingdom or Germany. To all of them, our deepest gratitude. And for the veterans of last year just ask you… where are you? Are you going to let these rookies take away your place?

And we are conscious that in these difficult times of economic crisis it takes a great effort to travel to do something as small and as full of greatness at the same time, that is to play cards with old good friends. And that is why, over all, we want to thank you for your effort and trust. But we also wanted to ask to all those that haven’t registered yet, even you, if you’re considering taking part of this!, to make that little effort and sacrifice that is the registration fee, to all together make of this Battle for the Wall 2013 something really unforgettable. You won’t regret it, you have our word!.

Because a tournament as big as this is impossible to happen without you guys. With your participation, your will of still making of this game a big family and your trust in us when it comes to organizing are the true makers of Battle for the Wall.

Greetings from the cold North, where we are prepareing Battle for the Wall 2013!

Start with the section Prizes, with quite a lot of news::

The winner of Battle for the Wall 2013 (joust) will obtain, along with the glory that brings such an amazing victory, a methacrylate engraved trophy, as well as an exclusive playmate giving credit to his achievement, along with a diploma and 100 in concept of application and accommodation in the European A Game of Thrones LCG Championship 2013 that will be celebrated in Stahleck in the month of November, as well as a set of commemorative tokens of Battle for the Wall 2013. The second classified will obtain as well his methacrylate engraved trophy, his playmat and a prize in material related with A Game of Thrones worth around 60 euros as well as the set of commemorative tokens of the tournament. The third classified will obtain his methacrylate trophy as well as a prize in material related with the universe of A Song of Ice and Fire worth approximately 40 euros. The Melee champion will obtain his methacrylate engraved trophy and prize in material related to A Game of Thrones worth up to 50 euros.

The Top 8, from the 4th to the 8th classified, will have as special prize signed prints of A Game of Thrones illustrations.

These are the basic prizes. As we increase the number of registered participants and going forward with the project, these prizes will get as increased as possible. In any case, from the organization of Battle for the Wall, we want to maintain the spirit of last year’s edition,, a tournament made for fans by fans and where everybody can obtain prizes, with lots of giveaways, gifts and surprises..

Days grow short in the North. But not the North ruled by the Starks, or the cold North of those who knelt, land of castles and fortresses, tamed forests and lonely wolves. It is the true North, the one beyond the Wall.

The true North, the untamed and fantastic land where creatures long ago believed to be extint, rule the land and the air. Beyond the Wall, North of the Haunted Forest, of the Milkwater, even further of the Frostfangs and the land of the last giants, an ancient evil awakens. The shadow of the battle, despair and ruins moves inevitably to the south. A south that lives alien to the arrival of the true winter, immerse in its internal fights, its palace schemes and its fratricide wars. The south is a land where the brother fights a war against the brother, where the families battle each other and where dozens of thousands of men die defending ideals they do not believe and that have not sworn to share. This is the nosensical world of the Southerners. They know nothing of the freezing hate that slides unto their lands. Fools. They will soon enough know the meaning of cool, solitude and despair.

And once again,danger threats Westeros! The specters, the Others and all their troops have set path to make more bitter the lives of those who greatly enjoy the pleasures of the intrigues and schemes of the only game that matters. The nasty crows of the Night’s Watch, the scruffy and stinky wildlings and all their herd of shepherd without goats come to claim our help. And what are we going to do from Winterfell? What answer will we give from the court of King’s Landing? What answer will give the Silver Queen from the other side of the Narrow Sea? What will say the Kraken from the Seastone Chair? Will we have any news from Dorne or Dragonstone? What will out answer be…?

We have the pleasure to announce that, here and now, in this cold Winter night, the Battle for the Wall 2013 starts!

After the immense and surprising (because even we were surprised!) success of the first edition of the Battle for the Wall, last month of September, we come back with the swords sharp as ever…

The organization team, that in this occasion will be integrated by a deluxe triumvirate (Ingrid a.k.a. “Allyria”, Ione a.k.a. “Raxar” and Álvaro a.k.a. “Aioria”) will personally ensure that this second edition of Battle for the Wall will be a really unforgettable event.

The keyword that inspires this new project is “more”. “More” and “better”. And that is our philosophy, to surpass the great results of the last year both in participation as well as in prizes, level of game, surprises… and much more. Because you guys deserve it.

And the first question is, inevitably… When?

Battle for the Wall 2012 will take place the days 16 and 17 of March 2013.

And why in March…?

We have decided ourselves for this dates for several reasons. The first one is because the first quarter of the year is somehow a bit empty of big events. The tourney season that ends in Stahleck each year in November and the World Championship in the US. And until the month of May the regionals calendar doesn’t really start to move. That is why we considered that March is an excellent date. Our idea is to establish the tourney of Battle for the Wall, year after year, as one of the big European A Game of Thrones LCG tournaments: that is why March is also a very good month for this taking in consideration Stahleck. This month also a quite comfortable date for our European friends (Italy, France, Germany, Portugal) with whom we have consulted this days.

And now we can give you some new info about the prizes.

All those who participated in 2012 Battle for the Wall edition will remember the incredible and exclusive house cards designed by Nacho Molina. With their screaming quality, it is safe to say that they were the star gift of the event. Well, it is our pleasure to announce that we have renovated our last year’s best feature and in this 2013 edition we will count again with the work of the great illustrator Nacho Molina.

All the players will receive 6 very very special House Cards. We can’t give any more info yet, but we hope to show you a brief preview of the great work done by Nacho.

We’ll only say that Nacho has managed to make last year’s look like a joke…!

As a tradition, the Joust Champion will receive, along with the fame and the renown that a tourney like this give, a trophy acknowledging his victory (the second and third Joust classified as well as the Melee Champion will also receive it) will be blessed by the gods (the old and the new) with and exclusive playmat and the quantity of 100 euros in concept of accommodation + registration fees for Tourney of Stahleck 2013, as well as a “bye” round with good resistance for the first match.

Second and third classified of the Joust tourney, as well as the Melee champion will also receive, along with their trophies, great prizes that will obviously be related to the world of A Song of Ice and Fire.

And of course, we’ll do our best to flood you again with prizes, gifts, giveaways and more surprises. Battle for the Wall is a tourney, an event, made for fans by fans with the only aim of promoting this great game that reunites us all, over personal differences, surpassing the frontiers of several countries and creating a community of really fantastic people. And this is the spirit that we want to keep at any cost! You can be sure that there will be tons of prizes and gifts that will be given among all players.
